Restoring Liberty: From 1984 to 1986, The Statue of Liberty National Monument underwent a total restoration effort to repair many years of deterioration. The restoration was to be completed in time for Miss Liberty's 100 year anniversary in 1986. Originally entitled "The Statue of Liberty Enlightening the World", by French sculptor Frederic-Auguste Bartholdi, she stands proudly on Liberty Island in New York Harbor. The Liberty Bike is plated in copper preserved from the restoration of the Statue of Liberty National Monument. Nearly every design feature of this motorcycle work of art is inspired by the Statue.

Gold Leaf Corp commissioned world famous Orange County Choppers to create a masterpiece of contemporary art, using artifacts preserved from the restoration of the Statue of Liberty. Delivered in Feb 2004, The Liberty Bike serves as an ambassador of freedom, spreading the message of Liberty and Freedome throughout the world. Artifacts, including copper, iron and many other precious materials were preserved from Miss Liberty's restoration by Gold Leaf Corp, under the direction of the National Park Service and exclusive license agreement with The Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island Foundation.

From start to completion, it took only 4 1/2 weeks to complete. It is the only motorcycle in the world plated in copper from the Statue of Liberty National Monument. The Liberty Bike will continue to fulfill its role of spreading the message of Liberty and Freedom. When it is not touring, the U.S. Space & Rocket Center is its home base. We hope that your viewing of this one of a kind work of art will remind you of the freedom and opportunity we enjoy is great land we call "America".
