Don't miss the other attractions in
Billings

I previously mistook this sculpture for Fred Magers' "Rocky Mountain Sheep" which is somewhat similar in appearance. Many thanks to Mark S. Moak, Professor of Art & Art History at Rocky Mountain Collegefor pointing out my error.

This statue is one of 34 bighorn rams that were embellished by Montana artists as part of Bighorn Magic, a fundraising effort to finish the restoration of the Billings Depoton Montana Avenue. According to the Depot's website, "The Billings Depot was built in 1909 and played a significant role in railroad history and the development of Billings and the early westward settlement of Montana. It has been impeccably restored and once again serves the community, providing a landmark gathering space for community and family events, including weddings, anniversaries, concerts, business dinners and fundraising events. The vibrant, welcoming space offers a memorable setting for guests of all ages."
