| Inscription under the caisson in the artillery group, "This group is affectionately dedicated by the sculptor to Alice V. Morris and Dave H. Morris". According to Dennis Montagna, "Dave Hennen Morris was one of Shrady's best friends. Morrise wrote an essay, 'Homage to Henry Merwin Shrady, Sculptor 1871-1922" when Shrady was posthumously inducted into the NYU Hall of Fame in 1942." |
